We’re not in the business of making mayonnaise

Sriracha sauce founder David Tran was once advised that his sauce was too spicy. A friend recommended adding a tomato base to make it sweeter and more appealing. His response was:

“Hot sauce is meant to be hot. If it’s too much, just use less. We’re not in the business of making mayonnaise.”
