Given the fact that the experiment with the chilli bread for a birthday party, was a success, I have decided to try something other and a bit more challenging – oven-baked ribs with homemade chilli flavoured barbecue sauce.

The ribs were baked in the oven for two hours at 150C before adding any sauce. I decided to keep the temperature lower and keep it in the oven for a longer period of time in order to have them as tender as possible. When the ribs were baked, they were brushed on with soy and homemade chilli flavoured sauce – it combines ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, habanero chilli powder, and other spices.

I have decided to include the chilli bread from the last cooking session as a side dish. This time I enhanced the recipe with a couple of additions – bacon slices and a few onion rings.
