Tomato Harvest

Most of our chillies haven’t ripened enough and are still left on the branches to soak up all the late summer sun, but have a look at the tomato. Our last harvest from a couple of days ago. Huge and tasty 😉

Now in late August when mornings are becoming foggy and prolonged leaf wetness is ideal for downy mildew to appear and ruin late summer tomato harvest. It happened to us last year :-/ So we have decided to build a tomato house fending off the morning wetness and extending the growing season. 😉

Here we go. A decent harvest during a very tricky season of 2020. Although chillies are still warming up, there are lots of other goodies becoming available to cherry-pick from the garden: onion, beans, tomato, parsley, radish, salad, cabbage, cauliflower, zucchini/courgette 👍
